How to set up KemoTV on Roku

Roku is a closed platform: it doesn't allow sideloaded apps, so the familiar IPTV players aren't available. You still have two workable options — and one honest recommendation.

    Option A — mirror from Android or Windows

    Enable screen mirroring on the Roku, then cast from a phone or PC running your KemoTV player.

    • Roku: Settings → System → Screen mirroring → Prompt or Always allow
    • Android: Quick settings → Cast / Smart View → choose your Roku
    • Windows: press Win + K and select the Roku

    Mirroring depends on your Wi-Fi. Keep the phone or PC close to the router for sports.

    Option B — an M3U-capable Roku channel

    Some Roku channels can load an M3U playlist. Availability changes often, so message us and we'll point you to one that currently works in Canada.

    Our recommendation

    For the best guide, 4K and instant zapping, plug a Firestick or Google TV stick into the Roku TV's spare HDMI port — then follow that guide instead.

Troubleshooting

Mirroring keeps dropping

Switch the Roku and your phone to the same 5 GHz network and disable battery saver on the phone while casting.
